This heat or something is working me over whenever I ride recently. It’s like I hit a wall and all energy/drive just drops off. Literally start yawning on the bike like I could just go to sleep. Sitting at gas station right now - drinking a coke - seeing of my legs come back. It’s so weird.

Edmond Farmers Market Group Ride - 6:30pm Tonight!
Love this group ride - I hit it every week on Tuesdays. It’s neutral at the start and then gets plenty spirited as it goes. Usually ends up around 30 miles or so. I’ll be there tonight - drink lots of water before hand!

a call with godaddy
phone: ring (phoenix, az - i don't know anyone from there)
me: hello?
godaddy: i this is "whatsmyface" from godaddy and I just wanted to call because you have some domains and hosting packages coming up for renewal and I wanted to see what your plans where for that and if I could help with any solutions.
me: you realize godaddy emails me 10-20 times per domain or hosting package when i have something up for renewal starting 3 months out right?
godaddy: yes
me: and you don't think this unsolicited call is some sort of massive re-duplication of effort?
godaddy: no, ...

Jenks Quick Update - my Race
Well, I tried and got a 10+second gap on the field, was feeling great, but started to overheat worse then I have before. Was able to get back into pack, but started feeling very “fuzzy-headed”, almost missed a simple turn and pulled out. First DNF but feel like it was the safest decision. Gotta figure this heat thing out!
But congrats to Grant from @teamtoms grabbing third - and...
Tour de Cure went great. Wind was brutal first half and then pushed us all the way back in. Now some Carinos for lunch. (thanks again @edmondvet!)
Heading to Tour de Cure! Much love to my grandpa Steward and thanks to @edmondvet for sponsoring this ride. http://JoetoProcycling.com
A fun lunch with a great friend @chadDNA today at @iguanaokc. Chad’s a great guy and cyclist in the Oklahoma City area - someone to follow on Twitter for sure!
(He is also on the DNA racing team - which I okay I guess - Ha!)

Feels like important birthdays go from every year until 16, then 18, 21, 25 and 30. Then it’s every ten years. So my 32nd will just be chill. ;)
Fathers day = rest
Had a wonderful fathers day. Slept in, ate at waffle house, and then read, napped and journaled all day. Now going to bed early. Definitely needed the down time - thanks to Mandy and kids for loving on me!
the fear and scarcity of buy in
Everyone is selling something, right? Pastors their church, nerds their tech, bloggers their blogs, media on news, causes, brands, beer and more.
On a personal level we all seek acceptance - which is just people buying into us - that we are worth it.
Most of the time our buy in is conditional - especially with the work in front of us to do. We have our job/call that we go to everyday,...

11 Years!
Happy Anniversary to @messycanvas - we’ve been married 11 years today. It’s been a four kid, three states, 1 uHaul stolen, and so much more in our beautifully messy journey.
Love you!
Guilt Free Rest
This week has been all about rest for me. I’ve not rushed to bed or rushed out the door. It’s a transition week in cycling - so haven’t been on the bike much.
I think, like a lot of us, taking time for rest feels like a weakness we can’t escape.
But the great people I aspire to be like are both driven but also able to relax & rest well. This week has been on of the...

This is always the most panic inducing thing to experience - being conscious and not in control - especially of your breathing!
Fun ride with great friend @ChadDNA. Though doing a humid 2.5 hr ride same day as a 60 min legit recovery massage (thanks @brooksloat) is a sure fire way to dehydrate and have your body cramping on the way home! lol
