Often I think we get the misperception, that we need to make people feel guilty - through manipulation and forcefulness of truth we need to conjure in them a fear and trepidation that causes them to "repent", if for nothing else then for us to relent. But maybe we take this approach because it was done to us in this way, or because we forget that the reason we were open to repent ourselves was the kindness, tolerance and patience of God to wait on the softening of our own hearts in their own good time.
This is a call out into the social goodness of the web for some designers looking for something fun to work on. It is Christmas time and the Church Online Blog needs some help getting into the Christmas spirit! To join just design a “Christmas-awesomy” (sp? lol) blog header for the Church Online blog and send it in. All of the banners submitted will be used on the blog through out the month of December.
The image in this post is the header currently have, you will notice the “Live Click here to enter a campus” that is a flash countdown that is embedded overtop the header, so the design will need to take that into account (its dimensions are 414 width by 65 height and it is transparent except the words). The header itself 960w x 234h so your designs would need to be the same. To submit a design you can email me at tony (dot) steward (at) lifechurch (dot) tv – we will work with all the designs we get to get them on the blog during the month. (Disclaimer: I am want to make sure this doesn’t fall in the world of “spec design”, so if it does please let me know and how to adjust the idea for it to work as a fun project for designers to do instead of something that would be insulting.
